Therapy with me

Clarabella understands that people seek therapy for a variety of reasons and knows this can  feel daunting for many. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. This provides the trust and safety to address difficulties and work towards change. Clarabella values the individuality of each person she works with. She uses this to explore how their life history and personal circumstances have influenced ways of thinking, feeling, and  relating to others. She supports the person to identify their goals for therapy and enhances their strengths to achieve these.

Clarabella is experienced in a number of therapies, including Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mentalization-Based Treatment, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. She uses these flexibly to meet the diverse needs of people she works with and help with difficulties, including depression, low self-esteem, anxiety (social, generalised and specific phobias), OCD, compulsive skin picking, work stress, attachment and relationship-related issues, maternal mental health, self-harm and emotional-dysregulation.

Regarding her professional qualifications, Clarabella completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme. Prior to this, she achieved an MSc in Mental Health Studies  (Distinction), a BSc in Psychology (First class honours), a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminological Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment.
